Roasted Garlic and Turmeric Cauliflower Cheese 

I wanted share my version of Cauliflower cheese. It’s Filled with flavour, delicious and simple to make. 

 Makes: 3-4 servings

Total time: 55 minutes 


30g  Parmesan Cheese 

60g mature cheddar cheese 

1 1/2 tbs buckwheat flour

1 1/2 cup of Almond milk 

2 tsp butter

Black pepper

Himalayan salt 

1 1/2 Tbs Turmeric 

1  head of Garlic 

1 large cauliflower 

Olive oil 

Preheat oven to gas Mark 5

Peel the outer layers of the garlic and slice 1/4 of the head off of the cloves, drizzle with a little olive oil and wrap in foil . place in the oven and bake for 30-40 minutes or until the garlic is soft.

 Cut cauliflower into  florets and lay on a deep baking tray drizzle with olive oil, and season with a large pinch of black pepper, turmeric, pinch of Himalayan salt. 

Place in the oven and roast for 20-25 minutes or until the cauliflower has started to become soft and the edges are light brown. 

Cheese sauce: 

Place a pan on a medium heat. To the pan add the butter and flour mix it together and allow it to cook for 1 minute. Take off the heat and gradually add the milk. Stir until it becomes a smooth sauce. 

Return to the heat and bring to a boil turn down the heat and allow to simmer season with salt, black pepper and the roast garlic ( press the garlic out of the outer skin) for 5-6 minutes. 

Add the cheese and stir  until it’s completely melted. 

Preheat oven to gas Mark 7.

Pour the cheese sauce over the cauliflower and then sprinkle the Parmesan on top. Place the baking tray in the oven and bake for 1o-15 minutes or until the Parmesan has melted and has browned. 

Serve and enjoy.
